The classic vest meets fashion glam, and top quality!! Swakara stands for south west africa karakul which is a turkish word for black sheep. Swakara is a brand name and not a category of fur. Originally European settlers brought to Namimbia special sheep that were farmed for their skins. Nowadays swakara skins are world renonwned for their high quality standards. Unlike curly-haired counterparts, Swakara is smooth, silky, and flat. The excellent standard of pelts produced in Namibia is also without equal, a result of 110 years of passion and effort. That quality has made the Swakara brand of pelts some of the most coveted fur in the world.
The most significant feature of a Swakara pelt is its recessed grooves, which form a 9-surface motif. The pattern of ridges is unique to each Swakara pelt, which are at the same time soft and very appealing to the touch. The shapes, dimensions, and combinations of its swirls are the main characteristics which determine the grading of a pelt. To obtain this quality, farmers classify the lamb for either breeding or pelt production right after birth. The Swakara’s exclusive and lustrous sheen, combined with its truly distinctive pattern of compact curves and whirls has made it a favourite amongst designers and fur producers.

We offer the FedEx Express Saver shipping option. Payment for expedited shipping must be received by 12pm Greek time, Monday through Friday, in order for the item to be shipped that day. Items shipped via the FedEx Express Saver option will be delivered in Europe within 1-2 business days or to the US or elsewhere will arrive anytime between 3-5 days, but it may take more than that for the item to be cleared at customs. Saturday delivery is available for an additional fee. Please refer to the Shipping Cost Table to determine your expedited shipping & insurance costs. Expedited shipping may not be available on certain items or in certain countries (ex. Russia). If you wish your item to be insured, you need to contact us to be advised on additional fee.
