Rag & Bone
Rag Bone was founded in 2002 by Nathan Bogle and Marcus Wainwright. They had a breakthrough moment when they found a factory in Kentucky where the talented workforce had been specializing in manufacturing American workwear for decades. The importance of authenticity, craftsmanship and quality resonated, informing Rag Bone’s philosophy. In 2004 the label launched with a men’s line and a women’s line followed in 2005. With no formal fashion training Bogle and Wainwright grew the company to sell at 220 doors worldwide. In 2006 Bogle made the decision to exit the company and David Neville, who joined the company in 2005, stepped in as partner to Wainwright. In 2012 Bogle launched his new fashion label, Jardine. In 2009, they launched their footwear line, which includes the best-selling Newbury boot. In Spring 2010, they launched Rag Bone /JEAN, a denim-only companion to their main line. In 2012, they branched into handbags with the launch of their debut bag, The Pilot bag.
